The Dharavati Hanuman Temple, also called Veeranjenya Temple, is in Hubli, Karnataka.
It is 10 kilometers from the hubli city, located on the main bypass highway. The temple having a history of more than 400 years.
The idol of Hanuman in this temple is a Swayambhu (self-manifested), found in a field many years ago.
The temple was built on the same spot where the idol was discovered.
Special Days and Rituals
Tuesdays and Thursdays:
Many people visit the temple to pray or ask questions.
It is believed that if the answer to their question is “yes,” a flower from the right side of the idol falls.
If the answer is “no,” a flower from the left side falls.
Saturdays:
Every Saturday, a special Palki (palanquin) ceremony takes place.
A cow also walks around the temple in a ritual called Parikrama.
This happens in the evening at 5:00 PM.
Langar Prasad:
Free food is served to devotees every Saturday morning at 10:00 AM.
Neem Tree and Tapasya
There is a neem tree near the temple, and its leaves taste sweet.
It is said that Saint Basavanna meditated under this tree in the 12th century.

Though the temple is very old, it was renovated recently.
